As we mentioned in our earlier post, there is really nothing mindblowingly new and amazing on the market, just upgrades and tweaks on previous models. The only camera that stands out from the rest is Sony’s bloggie.

Casio, Fuji, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic and Samsung all have new pink camera releases scheduled for this spring, and we have put together a short overview of each:

Casio announced that they are releasing four new models: the EX-Z270, the EX-Z400, the EX-S5 and the EX-S12 in March 2009.

One exciting new feature is the “Dynamic Photo” function (in the Z270, Z400 and S12), which makes it possible to cut out the subject in a photo and put it in another photo for a different background, or create a collage using parts of several different photos right in the camera. Other improvements include the new Engine 4.0, with better colors, less noise, auto-tracking of moving subjects, and less energy consumption (=longer battery life). The Z400 and Z270 also have a “makeup” function which smoothes the skin and soften the shadows on people’s faces. Specs in short:

Fuji has announced two new releases this spring: the unusual-looking fuchsia FinePix Z30 (Fuji describes it as “striking” and “ultra-glam”), and the hot pink waterproof (to 10 feet) Z33WP.

Nikon has two new pink cameras on the market: the vibrant deep magenta Coolpix S220 and the elegant dusty pink Coolpix S620.

Samsung will release three new pink cameras in March: the SL30, the SL202, and the SL620. The information on these is pretty sparse, but here are a few specs on each:

SL30

SL202
10 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 2.7″ screen, face and blink detection, image stabilization, 11 scene modes. MSRP: $149.99.

Sony is adding three new pink cameras to their lineup with releases scheduled for late March and early April. The Cyber-shot DSC-T90, incredibly slim at 0.59″, replaces Casio’s EX-Z75 as the thinnest pink camera on the market (see our Pink Digital Camera Reviews). Other specs:

We love Kodak’s “Fashion Camera” clutch in creamy pink leather with a brown/pink interior. It comes with both a shoulder and a wrist strap and has separate slots for memory cards on the inside. It’s so adorable that it could easily double as a small evening bag.

For more of a surfer theme, our number one choice is the padded Dillon Beach in “pink Hawaiian Floral”. It comes with an adjustable strap, so you can wear it across the body, on the shoulder or around the waist.

Sony has a lot of adorable pink camera cases, but our favorite is the soft leather LCS-TWB/P. Designed for their W and T series Cyber-shot cameras (of which many come in pink), this classic pink case with a thin white ribbon and chrome ring comes with a detachable wrist strap and is small, chic and very fashionable. It also comes in black, green and dark gray.

Canon’s stylish PSC-1000 (for their SD1000 cameras) in grainy, dark fuchsia leather looks more like a designer wallet than a camera case. It has a magnetic snap closure, and an opening up top for your camera’s wrist strap.

The Tamrac 3583 case in dark coral suede also has a wallet-like look to it, and is soft as can be. This tiny case, is padded, comes with a belt loop and removable shoulder strap and has elastic sides, so you can fit a variety of (ultra-thin) cameras in it.

New York-based fashion designer Dory’s padded gadget bags for digital cameras, iPods, cell phones, etc. are so adorable you’ll want more than one. We especially like the pink case with a brown sort of vintage damask wallpaper pattern (she also makes a laptop sleeve in the same fabric), and the brown one with pink and white daisies. All her gadget bags have zipper closures and a swivel hook.
